I was involved in the modeling process, but I wasn’t in the animation so I’m not sure what was used. My guess is Maya because they’ve been working in exporting the rig to Maya.

It would be very interesting to see any modeling wips. But of course it is understandable if you can't share any.
Again, the opening movie looks really awesome!

Yeah, can't really share any data. But the process is not that different from the original Guilty. You can find some info about it like here:

Now It's using higher specs, more polygons and more complex shaders with more effects like rim lights and gradients that are replicated in Softimage with cgfx shaders.

can't find any docs on cgfx shaders or how to turn vertex map into opengl toon
