Happy X-Mas from Mootzoid

Post by Mootzoid » 21 Dec 2017, 14:01

Dear si-community, Softimage users, Maya users, Modo users and Cinema 4D users,

For the upcoming holidays I wanted to let you know that as of today all my plugins are available for free on my website www.mootzoid.com.
Just download any plugin and you're ready to go without any license hassle and without making your wallet unhappy :)

You might wonder what is happening and why I am doing this.
In short: my little Mootzoid plugin business is no longer worth working on (= not making any cash). Since Autodesk EOL'ed Softimage I have been struggling, but now I am moving on to something else.
It was a great time - nearly ten years! - and I cannot express how much fun it was to work on the plugins and with you, the users, and to see what great stuff you guys did.

That's it :ymhug:

Happy holidays!

Take care,
Eric

PS: in case anybody is wondering: yes - I am fine. I am just moving on to something else ;)

Dear Eric,

thanks for all your support and efforts through out all those years. And thanks for offering all your plugins for free now! They were and still are so much help and a great addition to good old XSI! And it was so much fun to be part of it, bounce ideas in countless calls and chats. It was all fun, but now it´s time to let these times go...

Take care and all the best!! :ymhug:

cheers,
oli

Thanks a bunch for the kind words, my friend!

Also THANK YOU for making me make plugins for XSI in the first place, if it weren't for you it wouldn't have happened :)

Softimage without a healthy dose of Mootzoid magic is like a Mercedes without an engine.

Very generous move good sir. And all the best for the next adventure.

Wow Eric, that's quite a Christmas present. Thanks a bunch !

I'm surprised to hear an amazing talent like you has been struggling though.
I really hope everything will work out for the better in the end, and you're moving on to where the grass is green and the air is clean :-)

Happy holidays ! And thanks again dude.

Great indeed! These ar in every respect, both legendary and timeless tools
(to this day, for topo tools and things, hard to reproduce flexibilty, performance, and ease of use in any platform... Mash 'nodes', c4d mograph, whatever!

One thing though, you should totally put a paypal donate button up there!!
( I was looking for one, and I'm sure others would too! )

Cheers and thanks for all that went in there (which is ALOT!) and for your general contribution overall including the invaluable EM-Tools, and all the inspiration you provided!!!

Happy holidays, and All the best!!

A huge last adrenaline boost to Softimage. This is... though.. feels like another nail in the coffin. Wish youthe best Mootzoid, always inspirational, and.. I have to admit, I was still saving up my pesos to purchase your stuff. Thanks for releasing them for free. And yes, like the others said, hope the drop of Fabric Engine and Si has somehow opened new doors for your and your amazing skills. Best wishes on the next venture - whatever it may be. Every time I see something big and procedural, I only imagine your tools being used. A legend.

Do keep the rest of us posted on whatever your next venture is!

Thanks for that, Eric. Your products are the giant piece of the XSI history and now it is pretty sad timepoint despite these 3 years. Hopefully you will not face third eol in such a short term anymore whatever you would do.
Best wishes and happy holidays!
