Some of my new work :)

Post by Maximus » 20 Oct 2017, 02:52

hey guys, here are some images i've done for my last work, they are quite edited from the work ones cause its still under nda, i'll post after.

softimage and redshift, some comp in fusion and thats it. 7 minutes per image, 12/15 minutes the one with extreme dof.

Another great work by Maximus!
I love the pillows the carpet, courtains, bed, shadow of bed mixed with the warm colours of the lamp, textures and so many things.

If i try to object on anythin that is maybe the ceiling lamps they look kinda flat.
Now I just wonder how it renders with increased black crush threshold / amount and maybe with some hexagonal DOF, or some bokeh image :-?
But i like it also that way, more dreamy, bloom ish!

Just wow!

All quite realistic.

Just to ask, when you mentionned under 7-15 min, is that using approximation methods? (IPC or IC) or is that all brute force?

if not brute force, do you know if that setup holds up in animation?

Also if willing to reveal, how did you manage to model the cloth?

Nevertheless, very nice work! :ymdaydream:

I always use primary bounce: Brute force, secondary bounce: irradiance
using randomize pattern each frame (noise) it wont make any issue, i never had any flickering or anything with Redshift, some small issues might happen when u have very tiny and fine displacement, but you can work around this. Actually this is an animation but i cant post the finished work because its still under dna, once the job is public i'll come back here and show you, this is a revisited version of the actual finished work, for obvious reasons :p

cloth was done in marvelous, pretty standard stuff, then refined in mudbox.

thanks everyone guys

Very nice, looking forward to the final animation. The client should be very happy.

How nice too that we still have the choice between so many great (an up to date) renderers.

Very realistic cool looking images. Did you come up with the interior design too or it is the client's?

Very nice! I like the hair you have on him. Also the ground! Nice work there. I bet it must be fun to animate him.

Very very cool... and creepy!
I especially like how the eyes have some glint, really add a lot to creepiness factor :)
