It will be amazing to have a Softimage bridge to Rizom :)

I doubt anyone will take the time to write a Softimage-bridge for this software, see quote below... (but I am known to be wrong quite often x_x )
You’ll even find Rémi’s code in Autodesk’s applications, as his unwrapping algorithm is currently what powers Maya®’s and SoftImage®’s onboard UV Mappers.

can be found in persia

-Bridge __RizomUV Zbrush
-3DSMax-RizomUVUnfold3D __Bridge Extended Edition

-Blender __to RizomUV Bridge

source code under blender -open source

can this help make the bridge to RizomUV & Softimage ?!

As Hirazi said, it seems to be already a part of SI, since 2011 or so. According to author''s post at Unity forums, (author is ''arquier''), it's just a different name.

Fast Forward to 2019*: Rémi went solo in 2016 with his new company and software: Rizom-Lab's RizomUV. The name comes from rhizome. A rhizome is an always growing, underground root system which never stops growing. And we don't intend to.
Currently, the company is on a quest to create the perfect UV mapping toolset, capable of generating shells, flattening and packing UVs in seconds, not hours. RizomUV aims at speed and ease, and we do this by focusing on user feedback, honing our code, and of course, inventing new tools and touches benefiting our users.

So far, we’ve been doing great, and you can see this for yourself in one of our two standalone applications, RizomUV Virtual Spaces or RizomUV Real Spaces. In addition, we offer pipeline or software companies access to our integratable RizomUV C++ Library.

Unfold3D is part of XSI but from some videos I saw on this one, it is much improved by now so this would be quite welcome to have, with all the new packing and fast unwrapping.

But my guess is that no one with both a XSI and an Rizom license (and enough C++ skills..) exists

(The copy/paste between apps is a good idea. queued up, but might take a bit)

The Unfold3D included in XSI was only a lite version. The advanced tools were always only in the standalone.
Otherwise, nobody would even think of purchasing it.

And with the motivation to do it because most people with those skills and licenses might have already moved past XSI.

Being said that, I think a simple export / import OBJ copy UVs could be enough. Like the roadkill script we had before Unfold3D. Not real-time but totally usable. Btw, I’m doing that with XSI and Maya.
