There is a (very) worry-free lighting sample scene using Sycles (as well as Sycles compound nodes)
And there is also like a customised XSI-esque flavor of Blender which I'm finishing a PDF listing of changes relative to a 2.81 version of Blender For Artists, with the aim of making it very seemless coming from XSI
( with several aspects which may also appeal to professionals in general )
( still no XSI though, but what is like XSI? )
And sorry for the delay, I don't internet much when on the drawing board, among other things
