Re: DEMO: Sketch-Based Generation and Editing of Quad Meshes
I'm sorry to say that this is a 9 gig install.mirkoj wrote:care to share dnload lionk fro c++ needed?

I tried uninstalling hoping that what ever was needed was left behind but it caused the Retpo program to stop working.
If anyone figures a way to get it running without that whole program please let us know.
Re: DEMO: Sketch-Based Generation and Editing of Quad Meshes
Ouch. I'll have to find a way to not install 9Gigs.
This is only for retopology or there is a way to start modeling like this http://www.dgp.toronto.edu/~shbae/ilovesketch.htm

I don't see how you can generate a mesh with ilovesketch..
yes this Sketch-Based Generation and Editing of Quad Meshes is for retopo
One can just use sculptris to get the mesh

Re: DEMO: Sketch-Based Generation and Editing of Quad Meshes
Has anyone tried just using the redistributable?
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download ... x?id=40784
I would hope that would work, though I already had a version of VS2013 installed.

In the current Blenderistallation is a VCOMP120.DLL file. Copy it in the same folder with the SketchRetopo.exe.

When I try to start SketchRetopo i get the VCOMP120.DLL error.. when I put that blender VCOMP120.DLL into the folder I get:
"the application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close application."
Did that blender VCOMP120.DLL work for you?
I googled "application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b)" tried a bunch of stuff.. none of it worked
Re: DEMO: Sketch-Based Generation and Editing of Quad Meshes
installed whole visual studio, managed to get sketch retopo started but nothing else works, opening importing meshes nothing, bunhch of erors in cmd window behin dprogram with every single command..
not really friendly packed at all.
seems like no one here actually got it to work at all?
I understand it is not commercial product but still at least being able to install it properly should be made possible

I don't know what to tell you but it would be nice if someone with the know how and Win7 would recompile the package as I'd bet dollars to donuts that most of the problems are due to it having been complied on Win8.

Not working here, Win XP Pro SP3 (32-bit) with vcredist 2013 and zenity-2.28.0_win32-3 installed. I didn't install the SDK since I figured it isn't required to use the binaries.
Error when launching the win32 version of SketchRetopo.exe:
Error when launching the win32 version of SketchRetopo.exe:
Dependency Walker reports nothing significant is missing. The last time I saw an error like that was because I couldn't install .NET Framework 4.5 (not supported on XP) to resolve it.SketchRetopo.exe is not a valid Win32 application.
Re: DEMO: Sketch-Based Generation and Editing of Quad Meshes
A full .NET Framework 4.5 installation will not help if I am any indicator. So far just the VC 2013 demo has solved it.AceMastermind wrote:Dependency Walker reports nothing significant is missing.
