Crytek actually have a very interesting alembic pipeline that they used on Ryse. http://www.fxguide.com/featured/the-tech-of-cryteks-ryse-son-of-rome/
The complex characters and other parts of the game requiring complex simulations, such as collapsing structures, benefited from Crytek’s new GeomCache pipeline. This was written by the studio and compiles from Alembic.
There are more technical details around but I can't recall where I saw them. Sorry. Obviously this is still a caching case, but it's interesting :)

Waiting for the Maya plugin which will allows for both body and facial rig I integrated that rig with my custom facial rig made in Facerobot :)

The lipsync/animation is awful but the main purpouse was to check if the rig was properly read by UE4 and looks like its working properly!

Anyway this engine is great!

can't do that even in non-realtime renderers :))

PS. I'm really liking the tutorials from Tesla Dev - https://www.youtube.com/user/TeslaUE4They're really short, concise and packed with useful info. They remind me of the Pooby of Blueprints.

No demo. But you can subscribe for $19 a month, and then unsubscribe and continue using UE4 (without updates...).

I've found it well worth the price. They have tons of stuff in the updates and I've found just the tutorials/starter kits are well worth the $19.

Hey. I just learned that you can install preview version before final is released. In Launcher, next to Engine, click "+ Add Engine". Then you can select 4.5 preview and install! :)
