Remove SceneSearch from top right of layout?

I'm stuck with 768 x 1024, and the SceneSearch bar "wraps" at this res. It ends up under the menu row, doubling it and using up precious space.

I don't use it. Is there a way to hack it out of the layout?

If by SceneSearch you mean the so-called "Quick Filter box", then yes you should be able to hide it:
right-click the toolbar and deselect (from the "pop-up" mini-menu) the item you want to hide (in this case: the "Quick Filter box")

Stupendous! I was ready for a late night of hackery but I should have known XSI already thought of it.

Is there anything that doesn't totally rock about this software???
