hey guys something weird never happened before just happened.
Softimage doesnt show the preview on the viewport for tif files, neither in the texture editor, but it renders the image just fine using Redshift. This makes the proces of fixing the UV problematic since i cant see where the texture goes.
Anyone had this issue and know how to fix it?

I cannot reproduce this,
i.e. here a tif-file does show in "textured" and "textured decal" modes in the viewport & in the "texture editor" window...
Have you tried the obvious fixes, like runonce.bat & resetting your user preferences?

yeah tried that and reinstalled from fresh with 0 preferences and plugin, i suspect its something related to windows more than softimage... but only softimage has this issue
Re: problem viewing .tif files on textured mode in viewport
damn after days of bashing my head i found the problem, its the tiff compression set to .zip instead of uncompressed or LZW.
apparently when you save out a tif file and use the "zip" compression method, softimage wont show it in viewport and texture editor, but it does render it.
