Hi all.
Maybe not ICE specific, but here goes:
I'm doing a "little planet" stereographic projection illustration - like these (but all cg of course):
https://www.google.com/search?q=little+ ... 29t2knAAaM:
I can render the equirectangular image and convert it to stereographic projection in other software, but I was wondering if there might be a way to for example texture a sphere and "flatten" it, retaining UV's as to get an almost realtime preview of the effect?
Or other tricks to get a faster feedback?
Thanks for any thoughts.
Little planet / unfold sphere
Re: Little planet / unfold sphere
you can UV you're sphere with ICE and do the math there
I've already done that in a vex camera shader for houdini the equation is very small, but onto a sphere... I don't know
