"Wacom’s Intuos 3D package bundles a pen tablet with 3D design software"
The offering is essentially a bundle that integrates Wacom’s Intuos pen tablet offering with Pixologic’s ZBrushCore 3D design software.
According to the company, the integration between hardware and software goes deeper, offering an approximation of the tactile feedback one gets with real-world modeling. I mean, hey, just look at how happy the guy is to be using it in the above picture.
The Intuos 3D’s natural and intuitive pen works seamlessly with Pixologic’s powerful ZBrushCore software, built from the same ZBrush foundation that top professional film and game studios have been using for their 3D creations for years.
The $200 bundle is designed to be an end-to-end entry level 3D modeling package. Once a design is created, it can be uploaded and shared via the online 3D modeling community Sketchfab or sent straight to Shapeways to be printed out. It will also ship with “special offers” from both of the services.
The package goes on sale late next month through Amazon and Wacom’s own site.

Details about the functionality of this new "
ZBrushCore" will be unveiled during the ZBrush Summit starting September 30th, 2016.

This is still unclear. ZBrushCore looks like a "ZBrush lite" with limited functionality. But the details and its pricing haven't yet be revealed. We'll have to wait until the so-called "ZBrush summit". But for an entry-level bundle $200 would seem to be a nice price...

There is an icon for something called paint on the screenshot of the interface.
My guess is that Zbrush 5 is going to be announced at the zbrush summit.
If this is a new paint system for zbrush this will probably affect Substance Painter / Mari etc.. sales in the future .

Nothing new so far for existing users, looks like they've been (successfully) looking for new distribution paths. Paint might be interesting.
I was kind of hoping ZBrush 5 would get a new user interface, but it looks like not because the lite version would probably have it too then.

I wonder what could that mean?

The thing that interests me most ATM is what export options ZBrushCore will offer. Will it be usable as a low-cost companion to Softimage?

Well, "export" button is visible, now what exactly that means.... Hope it won't be some automatic export to Sketchfab, with option to get model back only if you're subscribed to Sketchfab using their "best" yearly option, or something like that.... Perhaps is best to wait and see...

That is exactly what I fear...;)

Once you’ve finished sculpting, you can export your ZBrushCore® creations to other digital applications.

Sounds promising...

In case someone wonders how it can be "cordless" and "battery free"...
It's not really cordless.
And "battery free" actually means "batteries not included":
You have to pay extra for batteries and the wireless kit. Then it's EITHER cordless OR baterry-free
Marketing
.. Makes you wonder how serious they are about the quality of the product

If I'm correct, should be possible to run it in 'wired' mode (connected to machine by USB cable), using out of the box configuration. At least that's how works one affordable Wacom I already have. ''Cordless'' probably refers to no connection between pen and tablet. I could be wrong, anyway. Now it all depends on ZbrushCore, I'd say. Nice offer, in any case.

Just an FYI, unless they changed it, their USB cables are usually extremely short (~4ft), so unless you are using a laptop, or have a monitor with inputs, you are most likely going to have to get the wireless kit.
