Hi all,
Wondering if it's just me..
I am building a simple controller for an eye lid rotation, trying to link the eye lid rotx for a crv posy, and eye lid rotz for the same crv posx.. very basic stuff..
after linking (using link with) rotx>posy and setting relative vlaues, I test it and it works.. then I move on to link rotz>posx, set relative values, and now
only the rotz>posx link works.. the first link I created stops working even thou it's still there, and there is a curve for it in the animation editor...
I still has old Softimage 2013 installed, so I tested the same thing there, and it works as you would expect it to work.. but in 2015SP1, it doesn't..
anyone else encountered a link with problem in 2015SP1???
cheers,
Oz.
UPDATE: ok this is weird.. I locked my workstation, went for a coffee out of despair.. came back unlocked the computer, and now it works??? I tried creating the link 3-4 times, and got the same not working results...
link with not working properly in 2015SP1?
Re: link with not working properly in 2015SP1?
Does your update mean it finally worked?
if not, like the other thread about 'reinterpret location to new Geometry',
this may be another thing that may be important to be logged by a few.
Or also, did anyone else experience this?
Because linking-with is pretty important,
and I think the state of the last version is also important,
while being grateful that the 2015 has been generally reported as good and worth-it
(with pretty good ICE additions and things like RenderRegion color corrections ... )

Re: link with not working properly in 2015SP1?
actually I need to save the scene and re-open it for the link-with to work..
I tried it in a new scene, with two primitives, and still in 2013 it works, and in 2015SP1, I need to save and re-open for it to work..
but it might be something with my own workstation.. it would be nice if a few more people could test it on their 2015SP1:
get a null and a cube, null is the driver of the cube.
link the cubes ROT X to the null's POS Y, set link, and a couple of relative values.
test it works..
now, link the cubes ROT Z to the null's POS X, set link and a couple of relative values.
at this point, for me, only the last link works, moving the null on Y does nothing.
then I save the scene and reopen it, now both links work..
Is there going to be an SP2? I thought SP1 was the last one?

Re: link with not working properly in 2015SP1?
couldn't reproduce it (no idea either what could cause it on your installation)

Thanks rray
it's just my computer and not a bug, we have another SP1 license installed on a different computer (same exact set-up),
I just tested it there and it works just fine...
so I guess that was a false alarm
thanks for checking
Oz.
