Softimage 2014 forward compatible with 2015?

I can't find this info anywhere, is Soft 2014 forward compatible with 2015. For example, can you open a 2015 scene with 2014? I realize normally this isn't possible, but so little changed in 2015... wondering if anyone has tested.

After a series of poor releases & an absurd off-subs policy, AD has left a very version fragmented community in it's wake of destruction. 2012 seems to be the most used version followed by 2014. I was hoping 2015 would become the "CS6" standard for the last few years of the Softimage life... but it doesn't appear to be the case.

Also trying to figure out what is going on with the 2015 Crosswalk release, or lack of.

A full installation release of Crosswalk 2015 is missing. The download link for 2015 includes Max/Maya plugins only. Is AD really not going to let users on previous versions of SI export to the latest FBX file format? Seems to be the case.

No Softimage is forward compatible as far as i know.
