select polygon by angle?

is it possible in xsi?
i dont want to do it manually 8-x

Don't know if this is exactly what you're looking for, but the RCTools offer the option to apply a custom selection filter based on angle.

so which one is the select by angle?
dont know what to touch.

im looking for something like this
weird xsi cant do officially

it selects polygons at single click filtered by angle

That rcTools page should look more like this

Maybe it needs a restart of the application.

You see the 'Orientation vector' in there which you can set from the current selection. After that set a maximum deviation angle like 1 degree, then tick the check box and click the 'select all' button.

When you don't want to use a plugin you could try rectangle selecting the polys from a side view with the 'surround polygon' option on.

why it look like this to me
no matter how many time i restart even i reboot

and is there no easy way??? ~x(

Just uninstal and go to the C:\Users\xxxx\Autodesk\Softimage_2013_SP1\Addons\InstalledAddons and delete rcTools.xsiaddon manually.
Sometimes it doesn't get deleted automatically and reinstalling wont work while the file is still present in that directory.

See also the troubleshooting section on the download page. Easy way as I said is rectangle select from a side view with the surround poly option on.

surround poly is not im looking for this time...
theres lot of micro triangles almost invisible
because i use rhino a lot

rctool still same as before even on fresh install..... :-ss
and i got this error when installing the addon
' ERROR : 2356 - This plug-in is not installed: rcCustomFilterSettings
