Anyone know if this will apply to Softimage 7.01 ?

As Softimage is explicitly mentioned in the list on the webpage you mention, this might be so.
I however am uncertain as to the version of XSI7.01 in Autodesk version numbering system, i.e. if XSI 7.01 is a 2008 version or a 2009 version in Autodesks way of thinking.
But the only way to know for sure is by quickly (=very quickly!) contacting your (or "a") local reseller.

I can't confirm anything and this is just me talking here, but I suspect it would mean, at the very least, Autodesk Softimage 7.5.
7.5 is equivalent to what would be 2009 version of Autodesk software. XSI 6.5 is equivalent to 2008
XSI 7.0 and 7.01 would also be equivalent to 2009, but the snag is we no longer support those versions of the software as they were released pre-Autodesk acquisition. However it could be that the offer will still apply.

Well I just thought that 7.01 would be included as the Autodesk name is on the splash screen and not avid.
Going to have to contact our reseller to see what the skinny is .

7.01 was purchased from Avid, and runs with a license issued by Avid.
And 7.01 doesn't have an Autodesk serial number.

The thing is, however, that Softimage is mentioned in the list of software the offer applies to, which sounds a little weird if there is no Softimage product that fits the bill, so to speak...
Oh wait... It's Autodesk... ;)
The status of XSI 7.01 has always been unclear, for the reasons Stephen Blair mentioned above, but as it sported the Autodesk logo and an Autodesk EULA I think it's safe to say, it was an Autodesk product...
