Hello Softimage users, as I know there may be some of you who are
already experienced with this kind of deformations.
I wish some of you could help me create a video so later I can upload it
in this thread to show how useful/powerful these deformations are.
Problem is that to my basic understanding: there has to exist a geometry
with shape cluster combiner.
Later there has to be clusters created in that mesh to attach the bones in their
respctive null centers.
And finally there has to exist some deformation which in turn will drive the bone;
and then the bone can further "refine" that deformation.
So all this is written here by memory only, since the xsi-blog site is down.
So I urge anyone who could help me put this together so I can upload a video for the
whole community to watch.
Thanks and kind regards.
David.

Can't help you with the video, I did however retrieve the text of "Facial Animation, The Static KineState, and Dorritos?" for you, which I assume is the article on xsi-blog you are referring to. This version is a text-only Google cached version, but it might still be useful:
Cached: Facial Animation, The Static KineState, and Dorritos? ;)

Ok I got to see a video here:
http://vimeo.com/14421580
So i finished it all like the video shows, only to find that when I rotate the head the deformer messes up the face.
How is this solved?
Please help.
Thanks.
