Nope. By the way, you remind me of another feature - Python ICE nodes... :ymdaydream:
would be cool to have pythonized every aspect of sdk, and the sdk itself as open as in f. maya

Python itself is not slow (especially with use of generators and multithreading features), but because Softimage is built with use of COM: yes, probably it would be slow as hell

Softimage Basic(Foundation) 2014 -a trimmed down(no FaceRobot etc) version of Softimage for hobbyist or non-studios with an up-to-date implementation of ICE, also compatible with current plugins like GEAR etc. :ymdaydream:

Fix auto rigging and bring it up to date. Get rid of current IK and use humanIK so we are setup with MoBu. What was said before about the stack and muting...yes. Facerobot needs some help. And more...

Curves and NURBS in ICE

ICE node "UserDataBlob" and it's twin Shader "UsedData" so that we can assign attributes via the ICE node and get MR read the attributes for rendering or shader development/manipulation.

CCMesh properly implemented in Softimage so that we can render PTex file with MR.

A basic painting system that can be used to paint mesh on the viewport, deform meshes, add mesh details via stamp/stencil. Similar to Blender or 3DCoat.

A re-topology tool

Some love to the FXTree

Improvement in speed to Viewport 1.0

A mi parser so that we can do shader development/coding within the shader node and get dynamic results.

Improvement to the math nodes in ICE adding some math classes such as the imaginary class.

Improvement in speed to the AddPoint node, repeat node, while node.

and the most important .... squash bugs. ~o) :ymalien:

Hey there,

1) symmetry mode which will respect topology changes, not just transforms.
2) ability to use Unfold on selections in the texture editor
3) ability to pack Uvs with a single click, not having to rely on Unfold.
4) a basic sculpt/paint tool, like Mayas artisan
5) more poly modeling functions for the tweek tool: lie extrude etc...
6) multiple objects in one Render Tree
7) or speed up the Material Editor
8) get the new high quality viewport on par with its ADSK cousins
9) symmetrize polygons automatically flips the uvs of the duplicated selection
10) symmetry in the texture editor
11) proper retopology tools - Pooby's method works great, but it would be cool to have a more painterly approach to retopo.
12) the poly draw, or N key, needs some modernization. The ability to draw strips, or hold certain keys to insert loops, etc...ahhh I see the post above me beat me to it....
13) a kick ass "renamer"
14) an asset library manager for models, textures, etc, with icons, that enables you to browse and drag and drop into your scene
15) the obvious: full MR 3.10 integration

ok, that should keep them busy....

Cheers,
Matt

- Give the api more love , especially the rendering api .
- Redesign the render frambuffer from the ground .
- Improve the performance of material manger .
- Improve the the browsing of exr/hdr files without the limit for big resolution.
- Hight quality view port like other autodesk technology.
- Unfold 3d need more work in integration .
- Modern Hair System Based on Ice strand .
3D Supervisor - Production House .

As the beta for Softimage 2014 apparently is in full-swing already,
most of your wishes will probably have to wait for the actual year 2014,
at the very least, to possibly become true.
:p
Personally I’m just hoping Softimage 2014 will bring more than
merely some improvements for the HQV and some additional CrowdFX nodes.
(But that's probably why they call me a cynic...)
Stay safe, sane & healthy!

video, sound editing inside XSI
a built in pdf reader
puting a gadget for gag9 inside the app
some ice compounds for making electronic circuits
limiting xsi's memory usage to 256kb
support for qbasic input
file exchange with cubase and reason

These are all "would be cool" features if developers consider them as lovely as I do:)

:-o What? I assume that's a joke. You want to make it an editor and an electronic CAD system while using the memory footprint of a iphone app?

:) I guess we shouldn't laugh, Adobe added video editing to Photoshop....why I'll never know.

I still don't get the crowdFX thing from last year. Hundreds of people were pleading for render improvements and they work on a crowd sim. Still can't see the sense in that but whatever. Maybe the large hadron collider WILL be next or a model traintrack builder...
