Hi,
First of all thanks for your words !

I wonder what you think about this plugin speed ,stability , usability ?
Which parts feeling weak in this state , which area need more develop
I'm planning to revamp some parts of the tool , i hope it will be faster and cleaner , but it probably cut the compatibility with older version of Softimage
What do you think , how much percent of SI community use old version ? (2010 and older)

Thanks your help.

Hi,

drawbacks so far:
- it takes quite long to load
- numbers are sometimes not readable (if approaching/on z-axis) (having text always facing camera could be an option?)

Minor stuff, really. For compatibility: I'm on 2013 and will probably stay so for a while. Have always been on sub but didn't renew this time. Autodesk and all.

Thanks your feedback Druitre

" - it takes quite long to load "
yes , the load time is a little bit sluggish , in my i7 pc is 6sec (5s plugin load + 1s preset load , u can see in script editor)
3 or 4 seconds would be better, i work on it.

"- numbers are sometimes not readable (if approaching/on z-axis) (having text always facing camera could be an option?)"
previously i thought , i will use more than one ruler and if i snap all to cam,the viewport will be look a little bit disorganized .
But probably most often use only one ruler. so i will put iinto this option . thanks

Thanks for sharing! The last version worked with the free Softimage Mod Tool 7.5, you should leave that version up also for those who don't have or use 2011 or above. :)

Hi,
The difference between the v0.91 and v0.91b, just a few line in the loader script to speed up the loading time
This lines temporarily turn off "IceTree circle checking" while loading , this setting only available v2011 and above
below v2011 the loader script will drop some error .... I handle this error and the script is executed normally but no acceleration of the loading phase.
so, if u use older version the difference between 0.91 and 0.91b will be just 3 red ugly error line in the log :)
... nice new feature for free :)

so it is just a quick fix to v2011 users ,
I'm planning to revamp lots of parts of the tool , and finally put all parts only one big icecompound ... and forget this model loading hell ... :)

Okay thanks for clarifying, I thought "2011 or above" meant that the updated plugin was only compatible with 2011 or higher. I had no problems with the first version. Worked great! :-bd
