A friend just requested this (and how to connect the compound) so here is the compound and an example scene.
Basically it needs an object with a simulated Ice Tree and a weight map. A fresh empty one which is connected to 'Proximity Weightmap name' and some Geometry that will be in 'proximity' to this.
