Lagoa Topology Data is empty! And it's a bug!
Lagoa Topology Data is empty! And it's a bug!
Since SI 2012 has ICE topo nodes we can create a compound that will generate the cloth meshes from the Lagoa simulations. The problem is: Lagoa_TopologyIndex, Lagoa_TopologyRemoved and LagoaTopology_DirtyStates attributes are absolute empty.

Attribute display property or writing to custom attribute doesn't show anything

:tumbleweed:
It's seems to be worked back then. But it's broken now as advect mesh compound was since 2012 until 2013 release came out.
Well, whatever, nobody use lagoa anyway

maybe not, when i use it on occasion i need these features to work. log a bug?iamVFX wrote:Well, whatever, nobody use lagoa anyway

Re: Lagoa Topology Data is Empty
You could start by reporting it to the Any Bugs found, you can report here thread over at the xsibase...
;)

I didn't know about that thread, thanks, Hirazi!Hirazi Blue wrote:You could start by reporting it to the Any Bugs found, you can report here thread over at the xsibase...

Really? Why is that so?iamVFX wrote::tumbleweed:

Is this a question you want to ask me?gfxman wrote:Really? Why is that so?iamVFX wrote::tumbleweed:

I don't know, but the fact is that no one is faced with similar problems or vimeo group, for example, that shows only "5 minutes" user tests makes me think about that in this way. Do you have any videos with Lagoa? Do you use it still?
I'm trying to, but things like that is just ... A simple question: if it works with polygonizer (I don't know, but it should since it's sold), should I buy a third-party plugin to have access to data in my scene? I love plugins of Eric (emRPC especially), but I don't like when I'm forced to buy stuff just because native SI things is not working when they should ...

Re: Lagoa Topology Data is Empty
Features like tearing of cloth or thickness only available in paid version. When it's just these attributes that we can use now since we have ice topology feature, but we can't, because we have no access toxsisupport wrote:Model toolbar. Create > Poly Mesh > Polygonizer
Re: Lagoa Topology Data is Empty
Ok, Steve on xsibase is pointed out that example scene from 2011 SAP is working fine on simulated mesh, so that means these attributes not generated by lagoa, most likely it is topology of the mesh, because lagoa was released before 2012 and ice topology feature.
And I feel uncomfortable now - am I so stupid and it was so obvious or what ...

Re: Lagoa Topology Data is Empty
i was suggesting you do that, i logged countless bugs for my personal issues, my companies issues, and for others.iamVFX wrote:yes please!scaron wrote:log a bug?

I thought so... But I use Softimage in non-commercial ways (for now)... So I can't do that...scaron wrote:i was suggesting you do thatiamVFX wrote:yes please!scaron wrote:log a bug?

Re: Lagoa Topology Data is Empty
I would still prefer to hear back from Dev/QA ;-) The docs (well, that one sentence in the docs) say it should work with point clouds.iamVFX wrote:Ok, Steve on xsibase is pointed out that example scene from 2011 SAP is working fine on simulated mesh, so that means these attributes not generated by lagoa, most likely it is topology of the mesh, because lagoa was released before 2012 and ice topology feature.

Is it a doc bug, or are the docs correct and the bug is in the software?
Re: Lagoa Topology Data is Empty
Docs bug... There a lot of them, I reported 3 of them... By the way, there no "Please send us your comment about this page" button for SI 2013 user guide: http://download.autodesk.com/global/doc ... userguide/xsisupport wrote:Is it a doc bug, or are the docs correct and the bug is in the software?
Re: Lagoa Topology Data is empty [NOT SOLVED?]
But you know what? It's software bug, because how can I get Lagoa_TopologyRemoved attribute then? I can't tear the geometry of the simulated mesh (2011 SAP as an example), so I should simulate cloth on a point cloud! So I not so stupid and it makes sense if you think about it!
