Re: mSymm 2 : Symmetrize Tools
A new version beta 7. I dropped beta 6, rewrote a lot of the code, add some tools and delete some other. I decided to write the combine and separate tools as a separate addon. mCombine & mSeparate mSymm 2 beta7 Stable so far: https://vimeo.com/447...

Re: Hi masters, please answers this few questions
Regarding point (6) - Doesn't upping the quality of anti-aliasing in the nvidia control panel make your viewport better? Assuming you have an nvidia card.. That's very buggy unless you have a Quadro. BTW, this is my plugin for hard/soft edges. Since I wrote it I never use the default one because I ...

Do you mean the Shelf itself ?
If so,

Re: FBX name conventions? or what?
If you have only an FBX file and not the original 3DSMax file, then I think you don't have any other solution but to rename it manually.
Is that what you were trying to say?

I haven't read the code yet but I've tried it with a few primitives and it only worked with spheres.

I may be wrong but It seems like you using IK. If you are, FK is more suitable for this case.

Re: How do I call the Script editor and explorer as a cmd?
For Explorer, Script Editor, etc, I use only OpenView. OpenView("Explorer") And loop ActiveLayout.Views types to see if it has been already opened. Ex: Close All Texture Editor windows //JScript var views = Application.Desktop.ActiveLayout.Views for (var i=0, a=views.count; i< a; i++){ if ...

Re: mSymm 2 : Symmetrize Tools
Sorry but I really can't answer that. I think it is stable now in the beta 5 so I just need to polish the code and add some things I want, but I just don't have the time right now, I'll try to do it a few weeks later. Meanwhile I'm still testing it, using the beta5 version in my current project. If ...

Re: How are people packing their UV's?
You can add an Unfold operator to an existing UV property, and just use its packing features without re-unfolding. http://download.autodesk.com/global/docs/softimage2013/en_us/userguide/index.html?url=files/tex_basicproc_TypesofTextureProjection.htm,topicNumber=d30e342865 and scroll right to the bo...

Re: mSymm 2 : Symmetrize Tools
Thanks for your comment. Can you tell me which version did you try?
I'm aware that previous versions were pretty unstable but I think I got rid of the problem in the beta 5. At least I'm using it without havin a crash yet.

Re: So...general thoughts and experiences with SI2013.
Hey, I'm totally off-topic here, but I don't feel like opening a new thread just for this: is there any way to bind to a hotkey the option switch Extrude/Duplicate in the drop-down "duplicated items > polygons" from Duplicate Options preferences? I find myself switching quite often while ...

Re: uv editing: is there any way to activate symmetry?
Let's see if I understand you. You want to edit the UV from the +X side while keeping the -X UV somewhere else. And then copy the +X side UV to the -X side? I don't think it is possible. And to be honest, I don't see the point. I would just create one side of the object, create UVs, mirror polygon, ...

Re: uv editing: is there any way to activate symmetry?
1. Not possible 2. If I understood you, this script should do the trick. Have you watched the animated gif in the download website? Select a UV Island with Sync Method in Components and selection filter in Polygon. You'll have UV islands selected in your Texture Editor and SI will automatically sele...

Re: mSymm 2 : Symmetrize Tools
Thanks. In the beta 4 I was focusing only in the main symmetry tool and it was stable (I think), but there were still problems with the second tab functions. I think I got it stable and working in my beta 5 (updated 2 days ago). There are still some minor bugs, meaning it's not working like I want s...

Re: uv editing: is there any way to activate symmetry?
In the website you can find the instructions. It's a little tricky. It works with polygon component selections, not UVs. Open your Texture Editor Preferences. Set your Sync Method Settings in Components. Set Selection filter in Polygons in your Selection Menu (up and right). Just like when you want ...
