Well I can wish that , maybe - just maybe , Autodesk will have a fire sale on Softimage licenses just before they finally retire it in 2016.

aaah yes that old chestnut.So even if I bought a licence I cant activate it on my machine unless it was linked to a usb stick .But also no way of finding out if its legit either.

Max has the most modeling tools I agree...but that doesn't make it the best modeller.After trying a lot of other tools.I still think softimage is the best modeller.

Im expecting the answer no........ but
is it at all possible in softimage to output renderchannels using rendermap ,so an image can be split into separate channels ( Indirect / direct /shadow etc) in one bake ?

I have found that the degrain node in the fxtree works wonderfully to eliminate noise using the MIA trick.
