I used it on one big project (visualization of course), it's very simple and easy but offers ZERO control/customizing, contrary to CrowdFX which is not limited in any way but it's hard...

There is no option to turn off border uv smoothing which is a PITA. I hope for opensubdiv in all 3d/paint apps as a standard...

It's working okay here, just remember to reduce Spacing if the object is very small (default is 1 object per 1 SI unit). Voronoi is okay because you can use convex shape for collision, so it doesn't explode when you hit play. You just need to break the look with displacement (especialy on interior polygons)

These are just prt exporters so you can render in max. maya's kraktaoa is an integration of standalone kraktoa into the app.

well it's standalone, so 'all' you have to do is to write an exporter

I find rt useless (iuse vray in max since...dont remember), complete SI/ice integration and stability with fast export/iteration is more important IMHO

it is doable, only problem is the sdk, which states we shouldn't write topo ops, he he...
in max its very simple cause you got no operators, you write directly a mesh description. Of course if you want later delete few op you made by a mistake, you're f*cked.
