Re: My Wishlist for Softimage... maybe 2013 ?
1. Hah, I'm suprised nobody here mentioned "The Darkening of the UI" yet :) Or maybe is QT coming to SI too? 2. *Possibly fix the exporting of a scene to another renderer (like Arnold, the SI is using only one core for it) 3. *Multilayer EXR output 4. *Fix the darn OBJ exporter! (it's hea...

Umm.. am i missing something here?
Hi! Recently i've tried a bit of game developing on my own, so i dig out the web and found out that there are mainly two big packages available for creating Your own games. Unreal Development Kit (UDK) and Unity3D. I assumed that when having Softimage, which last time i've seen after aquisition, was...

Hello! I'm getting an issue with the linktab.ini file. I did a sample scene imported a reference model from other project, created a grid with texture from yet another project and saved it on windows. Back on linux with linktab.ini file properly configured and attached to "SI_LINKTAB_LOCATION&q...

ICE Frame Offset
Hello! I'm trying to recreate expression in ICE to offset, i.e. position from one object into another (spring effect). I've come across an obstacle while trying to figure out a way to create a frame offset in ICE. The only thing i can get is to get "one frame" offset by using get data and ...

Re: Apple icloud-> This could become a big thing.
hmm.. wow! :P that thing is already in Android for some time now -> gmail stores all this data. As for security issue. Yes, the idea is "If You have more freedom and convenience, You have less security". As for me, for now i dont mind, and i dont have that many information stored about me ...

Besides, it's no Jobs nor Apple who invented it.. this thing is already here for some time now.

Re: Overlaping in ICE
hmm.. i got confused. - subtract that number from the range (so that it's a bigger number when the particles are close, and smaller when the particles are distant) - add that number (or mix between adding that number and adding nothing) to the particle point position. That's the part i'm missing. Ac...

Re: emFluid4 released
Thanks Oliver! I've downloaded Your scene Yesterday and been playing with it some time. But i've noticed that, when You remove the normal emitter it's still the same. It's not affecting the fluid sim. But i'll dig into the compounds as You've suggested.

Re: emFluid4 released
So.. is there any way to affect cell data? Like add forces, goals, etc. ? Because after doing something with particles it doesn't affect the volume rendering as You've said. P.S. I'll dig into the sims later in this week, 'cause a lot of things are going on now. edit: hm, it seems only Emit velocity...
