Re: HOUDINI4SOFTIES: “Rigging a Cable Carrier in XSI and in H"
Hey owei, great tutorial and setup. i have two suggestion for houdini setups. they are both super easy to achieve in xsi. I would like to see your approach in houdini. the one is two directional constraints like in the piston. the other is cluster constraint to point. and here it's important to me t...

Re: Hotkeys for referances
You can set Transform to Reference with:
Application.SetTransformRefMode(3)
This is the python script version.

Re: Cross-Section in ICE Cave
Hey Santos,
you could try the bool operator that ships with implosia. its free now
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B47NI ... zUxU3hGZ2c
works best when your mesh is triangulized...
you could just copy your cave offset it a little bit and bool it..

ICE and Nvidia FLEX
Hey everybody,
i just discovered this test on CGIcoffee:
http://cgicoffee.com/blog/2016/08/nvidi ... simulation
as i understood him it isnt that hard to implement FLEX into ICE. So maybe someone who can code has time to bring some FLEX into ICE. this would be so friggin awesome!!
Cheers

Hey Roughy,
your strand collision framework is really amazing!
is there a way to enable selfcollision and collsion with other objets at the same time?
cheers

Hey Myara,
thank you very much!
super handy tool!
there is just a slight issue with freeze. it ignores the weightmap for me and smoothes out everything.

Re: Slide Relax Brush
Hey Myara,
sry for the confusion. i guess the problem is that i used the wording "normal smooth" were "standard smooth" would have been more appropriated.
I made a picture to illustrate what i mean. in the end its quite simple.
I thank you for your time and patience!
cheers

Re: Slide Relax Brush
Hey myara, thanks for your effort! I dont want to be annoying sry :D but the reproject in the smooth operator is still active, after i turn down the shrink wrap value to zero. so its still not just a "normal" smooth after setting shrinkwrap value to zero. thanks again for your great work a...

Re: Slide Relax Brush
Hey rray,
Thanks for your reply.
Your described workflow is absolutly doable. the nice thing about myaras method is the one click solution. And if it would also work for normal smooth i think the tool would be even better.
By the way thanks for your fantastic website

Re: Slide Relax Brush
Hey myara,
your tool is brilliant! could you insert a button that disables the reproject in the smooth and disables the shrinkwrap operator?
this way the tool could also be used for a normal smooth. this would be very handy.
thanks alot!
