Yepp, since Kraken #2 ate Allegorithmic, this is a good alternative for substance painter i guess.
I use 3DCoat since 2 years now. UI is... well weird, but one can get the hang of it.

As far as i know now i have to translate the XSI Euler values to a Rotation Matrix manipulate it and then back to Euler for UE4.
Does anybody know the Rotation Order in XSI. From the docs i read that its XYZ for bones.
But does this apply to the Editor as well?

XSI to UE4 Plugin - Place Instances
Hello friends, Iam writing a little plugin for UE4 to spawn Static Mesh Actors into the UE4 Scene/Level. Its like matching the XSI Instances living in an XSI Scene to the Level in UE4. It works well already, BUT i have problems with the Rotations. As long as i rotate only two axis of an object in XS...

Quaternions are computationally inexpensive. Thats why they are used.
They are hard to grasp because they are 4 dimensional.

I had to rotate my trees(Y is up) around X by -90 degrees because they where flat on the ground.
Im sure there is an easyier, more clean way to do that, but for now it works just fine.

Okay, i tryd that but "Rotate Toward Target" seems to be a "per object" compound.
I try to modify it from "Pose" to "Rotation" since this is "per point".
