Can i rotate pivot around one of axis (like in Maya for example)

How I can automaticaly select newly imported object or define coordinates for imported object using script (OBJ or FBX file formats). For example i wanna import my object in scene origin or maybe current mouse position. Thanks.

How change operator's default settings?
For example I want change Bevel operator. By default operator using "Relative to selection" (Units parameter) i want replace it to SI Units. Im trying edit C3DBevelComponentOp.spdl but without effect.

No. I want to perform operation (using script) not adding to undo/redo history.
For example: First i'm create cube and then im use custom operator. When i'm using ctrl+z (for undo). Softimage undoing cube creation instead of custom operator.
