Re: video encoding - h.265
too bad they don't offer a trial or demo.
they say they cannot guarantee it with XEON processors and 4K footage.

video encoding - h.265
Hi guys, i have a video encoding question for a project that we are doing. We have a prores 422 hq (2 minutes) And we need to encode it to H265 Yuv 420 10 bit LE 38 constant bit rate UHD resolution (3840 x 2160) (so no h.264, but the new h.265!) Anybody any idea on how to do this? Any idea would be ...

Re: RealFlow Core C4D
Interesting development.
Making realflow even more competitive with cheaper alternatives (X-particles and Navie in Cinema 4D, Bifrost in Maya etc).

Re: 3ds Max 2016
... but you could say the same about Expresso in Cinema4d, which is (I think) the closest equivalent to MCG. Exept xPresso is not merely specialised in modeling. (They said this in Max is primarilly focused on modeling, for now). Xpresso in Cinema 4D can get every parameters of every object that yo...

Re: Arnold for Cinema4D
This is a large picture for in a forum, only now i scrolled to the right to see the rest :) These settings look indeed quite low at first glance, but there is no knowledge about the samples in the shaders and lights. (these can also make the difference between a heavy scene and a light scene). + the...

Re: Arnold for Cinema4D
It depends. I'm also a beta tester for Arnold in C4D. The progress is really impressive. As with any render, rendering a still frame can make you to crank up some settings you would otherwise not do when rendering a animation. Sometimes (as with any render) i set up a scene, and just crank up the se...

Re: Will the MAYA node editor ever become an ICE clone?
Thanks for that description Mathaeus.
That makes sense to me (not having using mayas node editor).
I didn't know it was so cumbersome (that many connections for such simple things).

Re: Will the MAYA node editor ever become an ICE clone?
So if i'm correct, it's more cluttered and therefore more complex to 'read' and create?
But it does have access to a lot inside maya? That actually sounds ok.
Houdini is also all node based, maybe same complexity? i liked working with houdini a lot.

Re: ICE node or compound to python
In this quick example i created a copy of the cloner object and pressed "C" The positions of the copied clones are dictated by each clone item (possible by using it's index ID) without 'mograph selection' thing ;) By the way, the visibility of the actual clones (in the cloner object) is tu...
