Re: Trouble exporting scene...
Instead of renaming the windows username folder, I just created a new one and created all the same folders to match the paths and everything is working just fine. Thanks a lot guys! you saved me.

Re: Trouble exporting scene...
Thanks for the replies guys, I tried matching the folder names but apparently changing the username folder is very difficult so I kind of hit a brick wall there. I didn't know that there was a copy all feature, i feel so dumb now... this brought most of the textures although still a lot of issues wi...

Trouble exporting scene...
Hello guys I'm trying to export a scene just by copying the project folder, but when I open the scene on my friends computer everything is there except for the textures. Every texture is missing even though they are inside the same project folder, the only solution that I found so far is to replace ...

Grey Night - Indie Game (Trailer)
I'm not sure if this is against the rules, if so please delete this thread. But I think it's worth the shot! perhaps I could gain a couple of supporters. I'm currently developing an indie game called Grey Night, all the characters were modeled, rigged, shaded, animated and rendered using Softimage. ...

Re: Are we there (dead?) yet?
I also started learning Max, I'm very impressed with the CAT system(main reason why i'm considering it), I just tried it for a couple hours and I already feel like its easier, faster and more powerful than Gear or other xsi rigging methods...(For a solo artist)

Thanks for sharing!
This is very inspiring, and it shows that 3Ds Max is a very capable program.
Perhaps it is worth looking more into it.

Re: The Future of Maya Modeling - Autodesk Vision Series
Are you guys talking about this video? http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x31z7u9_the-future-of-modeling_school The video from post 1 was removed by the user. It looks pretty cool, but do you guys think this means that Max is going to die next? I'm considering moving Max but imagine if I spend another...

Re: "Corel ships Painter 2016"
$429 sounds a little expensive... considering that even now photoshop is like $10 bucks per month, sketchbook pro is like $3 per month and there is krita for free. Plus there are plenty of other options out there, but I have never used painter to be honest... perhaps is really great, and is really w...

Re: Siggraph week only: LW offer
I once loaded a heavy object I created in XSI into Lightwave. Lightwave used almost all of my 8 gig of ram just to load the object compared to XSI which only used 2gig. How long ago was this? I have been testing some high poly objects without issues. I think that 8Gb is way to low for 3d now days. ...

Re: Siggraph week only: LW offer
To be honest I'm considering moving to lightwave, everyday I discover new cool things about it. Plus they are always having sales and offers all the time. I hear some people said that is not good for character animation, but here is a course that proves that wrong: [media]https://www.youtube.com/wat...

Re: Used Softimage License
I don't really understand why autodesk stopped selling softimage... at least at this point, since they don't have anything similar to ICE just yet, if ever. And what about the people(students) who where planning on buying softimage in the future? Moderator edit: removed reference to illegal action -...
