Re: how to make last project current project
sorry - got very sidetracked! Hirazi - its not last scene i want, its last project I had open Set active project - -getting closer but it means you manually have to set the project. I'm sure, after 14 years of XSI, it used to just always bring me straight to the last project i was working on by defa...

Late to the party on this one, but is it possible to have flat strands of grass instead of cylindrical ones?

stop dolly movement based on cursor position
Is anyone still out there?!
when dolly'ing in camera/user views, is there a way to stop it moving in and out based on where the cursor is? But keep the zoom on cursor in the other views?

Custom Param on ref model not saving after loading in preset
I have some custom parameters in a ref model. when I load in presets for the parameters, the custom pset gets renamed to the name of the preset file I'm loading in, so when you save it, you're saving it with a name change. meaning, when you reopen it, the changes are lost because its a different nam...

Very small increments problem when orbitting with camera
Anyone ever come across a problem where you can only orbit round an object in very very very small amounts? it has nothing to do with the orbit settings.
quite frustrating. happening on a machine that's been happy for years until now.

Have ice emission with particle as blob type. Any special trick to get this working with Arnold? what kind of shaders should I be using?
cheers...

Re: Importing old models with missing plugins/shaders workaround
Unfortunately, import causes crash most of the time. when it doesn't, pretty much everything else will!

Importing old models with missing plugins/shaders workaround
Have had to dig through some seriously old jobs [circa Softimage v4], and getting a lot of CLS errors, or something - the ones when you don't have the right shaders etc.
Anyway to pull them in anyway, maybe by ignoring the shaders or something?
cheers.

Display dopesheet and fcurve editor in 1
There used to be a way to activate a dopesheet view within an fcurve editor to you could use both at the same time.
Anyone remember how? it used to be out of the box feature then they removed it so you had to go digging somewhere to activate it but its been a few years so cant remember.
cheers.
