Re: Manipulate a point in x, y, z

Ya UV preservation/management with topo modifications were always a pain, I think mostly due to how low level most of the factory topo tools are. It seems Eric Mootz made backflips to make UVs work across most of his topo changing tools. Which are now available BTW, and are what I personally wished ...

Re: Happy X-Mas from Mootzoid

Is anyone using the fluids with Redshift, if so what is the procedure to do so. thanks Yes, just cache the volumes as vdbs and use the volume object in redshift to render them :) Cheers, Oli Indeed! I'm sure it's just not too tricky, but if you'd like to wait a bit, I'm going to prepare a simple EM...

Hi!

Perhaps this could also be of help? ::

Re: Grid deform by curve and interpolate between outer curves

I found out that I Upgrade to Vimeo plus and they will return. :) :) :) :ymhug: I will do that in the new year but I'm poor and out of work so I am not spending any money right now. Your Fleshout service example video actually got some 100,000+ views in a very short time (quite remarkable especiall...

Re: Softimage Dark skin early WIP

Looks cool indeed! I started doing the same thing a while ago, was planning on writing some generic dll/exe-color adjustment tool to get most of the work done automatically. But got stuck in research... wasn't even able to find the main grey background color... even looked for hex representation of ...

Re: Grid deform by curve and interpolate between outer curves

Kudos ! That's excellent work! is to probably support pooby by activating the plus account [...] He had an Plus account and without I think, there is only a limited amount of videos allowed. Hum Right, could very well be it! (and hope it is) I think I will raise a dedicated fund for these things..

Re: Grid deform by curve and interpolate between outer curves

Cool! looking forward to results, your previously posted clip  (like sand running down hill crevasses)  was already quite neat ! Also, did you happen to spot your backed-up Vimeo Ice clips ? Then we could ask pooby if it's okay to post them. Still wondering what could possibly be the reason for re...

Re: Grid deform by curve and interpolate between outer curves

Nice tips RRay! Glad to help, I hope it works out :D Btw, I just realized it's probably easier to just to just animate the u or v offset in the shader instead of using ice here. ICE would be useful if the uvs were morphing in some compilcated manner, but this is just shifting along 1 axis. Maybe, bu...

And btw, are the videos on Paul Smith Vimeo site somewhere else? I cannot find all the great stuff anymore. Hey! Re: Grid deform by curve and interpolate between outer curves

Hi Santos,

As far as I understand, the scene RRay posted seems to address what you wanted no?

Could you be more specific as to what you'd like your end result to be?

From what I can tell, just a third center curve (offset in Z) in the loft for that setup would do the trick, no?

Great indeed! These ar in every respect, both legendary and timeless tools (to this day, for topo tools and things, hard to reproduce flexibilty, performance, and ease of use in any platform...
