Re: Some news from Siggraph
On Area there is a video on "Behind the curtain of RD". There you can see a little bit about bifrost! The interface looks a bit like ICE. It is called "Open Procedural FX Framework". Maybe this is what the Maya FX Team is working on!

Re: ICE Cloth
Hi, I would go with syflex ICE. There is a a volume force that you can use to shrink the cloth object onto the body. http://download.autodesk.com/global/docs/softimage2013/en_us/userguide/index.html?url=files/GUID-506AE534-24EB-43EE-B39C-EA47E73EDA42.htm,topicNumber=d30e313951 I would also pin the b...

Re: Exploding wall - need advices how to
Hi Nick3d, is it a professional work or is it a personal / educational project? Timeframe? Is it photo real or stylized? All the question help you to decide for the right direction to go! You could do the job entirely with the build-in nodes in ice but that require a deep understanding of ice. Not s...

Re: update problem with scripted operator
I did it expected that this could be the problem... I tried a second approach where I create an event plugin which triggers on siOnBeginFrame. My code use the same comand to change the path .... but nothin happens!! If I run the script solo .... it works! But in context of the event plugin .... noth...

Hi Oleg,
I'm playing around with your great toolset.... and there is a questian?
Is it possible to make Inset Cracks not for all cracks the same? Maybe dependent on distance to a control object?
Thanks for your great work.

mib_amb_occlusion
hi,
did anyone used this shader?
how to use the id_nonselb option?
I want to exclude some objects to do self-occlusion but receiving occlusion from other objects....
I think ... I have to give IDs to the objects - but I don't know how?
thanks for any help!

Re: ICE Modelling: Transfer Part of a topology to an empty Mesh
Hi Guillaume, thank you for you answer. This way it works but I have a problem with that. When I delete vertex and polygons in a certain area there will be some artefacts in an another area of the mesh (see attached pic). With this method I can delete parts of the mesh but how can I invert the effec...
