Re: aaOcean open sourced...
Hi Ryan The doc page you linked is no longer linked from my main website, and is obsolete. you need to install the plugins in your softimage workgroup -- hence the "workgroup>application>plugins>..." If you haven't made a workgroup already, softimage makes one for you in your c:\users\<use...

Re: aaOcean open sourced...
Ardworx, I can't reproduce the reported behaviour. I set an expression, draw a render region and then step through the frames manually. I did not test Batch rendering
As a workaround, put an expression on the Current Frame parameter to 'Fc', and then plot it to an animation curve.

Re: aaOcean open sourced...
Hi all,
I have added new Softimage 2014 downloads here
https://bitbucket.org/amaanakram/aaocean/downloads
Ardworks: you need to set an expression on the 'Current Frame' so that it increments with the timeline. Does that not work?
Newcomer (<20 posts) alert: please use the URL tags - HB

Re: aaOcean open sourced...
Hi all, Apologies for the confusion in the download locations. I've been working flat out in a non-softimage studio and have found it difficult to support this plugin -- I get a lot of support emails and it is hard to keep up with them. The current download link for the stable version is http://www....

Re: aaOcean open sourced...
Hi guys, Thanks for posting this here. Yes, there's a version difference but not much has changed in functionality. A lot of code has changed, new ports added for other applications. Little has changed for the softimage ice node though. The compiled version can be downloaded from https://bitbucket.o...

Re: Geometry Shader for the hidden Options in mr 3.8

Re: Geometry Shader for the hidden Options in mr 3.8
>please create an oldbsp switch This can't be done, I think. Softimage runs its own set of string options after all user geometry shaders have evaluated. In doing so, it overwrites any setting you might put in for the BSP type. Other settings, like Progressive, Softimage doesn't overwrite so we are ...

Re: aa_Ocean: Tessendorf Waves
>yes, the current shaders will not be able to pull point positions from anything other than a tessendorf ocean sim I'll disagree with myself slightly. The displacement shader is designed to work with a pure tessendorf mesh. The rest of the shaders can be layered on top of 3D geometry. So if your 3D ...
