Thanks,

There's also http://www.the3dstudio.com and http://www.3d02.com.

I went with the squid because they seem to have that scheme that they reward already successful sellers. Getting things like frontpage bumps, better search positioning etc. Seems frustrating at first but keeps up the motivation B-) and of course making more money for them :)) ... neverthelss I don't understand all this talk about them being unethical.

I must have missed something :-ss

Actually I never heard that talk, but I thought maybe the first thing that I found might not be the best...

also, the amount they deduct seems to me pretty steep, especially when I look at some of the work up there for VERY little money. I am inexperienced and quite possibly ignorant but...but thats a pretty competitive marketplace.

I think rray is referring to this entry on the Binary Iris blog. I however do not know if everything said in that post is still valid as it's almost a year old. It might however interest you nonetheless as it also provides a quite extensive list of alternatives to Turbosquid also...

"Legal matter": As I myself never have dealt with Turbosquid as content provider
I obviously have no idea (and no opinion) if the arguments
put forth in the aforementioned blog post are true or false...
I am merely providing the link to the article (as is) ;)

Hm.

Thats alot of info...

I have to say that initially I think I'm with rray,I don't see it as unethical because to me it seems like they have a business and if one doesn't like it they can use another one.

thanks,
