if you want to get something similar, i'd say the best way would be to mix together some fractals. and use these to drive color, displacement, specular etc. here's a link to binaryalchemys shader collection which i think is "essential" ; ) the 4d fractal and cell3d are great for these kind...

i'm also one of these fools from time to time. but i think it works really. as for vegetation ice makes that task really easy i think, combined with arnold it's really great for outdoor stuff. and we got vray too, so that's also a big point! so i really don't see any reason why not to do archviz in ...

hey ahmidou, i tried to reproduce it. but i couldn't really track it down. since the mesh was only a regular grid i don't think it's of any use to you. : ) the widged appears as soon as u use it the first time and only after that appears when hovering over the mesh. the red circle would be intended ...

you can't simulate an instance shape as far as i know... you can however cache it and change the particle shape to something different afterwards by simpling setting the instance shape.

this is really great! i get an error when exiting the tool. not sure if the red circle should show the opacity, but it always stays the same size. and the tool seems the disappear randomly and not showing up when the mouse is over the mesh. is this happening to anyone else? or am i missing something...
