Need Help in IceTree build-up

Post by lmc » 22 Sep 2010, 14:16

Hi guys, I m new here and i hope i din't post at the wrong place. :ymblushing:
Btw i am looking for some help in some ice-tree setup, i am confuse in some node and better or not let's said i m noob 8-} ( i been plug those node here n there for these two day, yawk)

Lets said that i want a group of particles stick to a cube at the start of the scene, then burst and spread out in for some times (let's said 50frame). At the end that group of particles assign to follow a controller and flying around (with the condition that the particles up-vector need to rotate according to my controller)

I m trying to setup with goal node, stick and unstick node but i having problem in adding some "condition" node there to full-fill what i want..

Hope someone can help here, thanks a-lot. \m/

Have a nice day,
lmc

Could you perhaps post a screenshot of the ICE Tree you have so far?
And/or explain a little further where your problem "exactly" lies?
Stay safe, sane & healthy!

I think maybe he wants to do something like this.

xsisupport, Hirazi Blue - Thanks for the help and with your example pic, i finally understand how a state node should be apply. \:D/

There is another set of setup which i hope u all can give me some help as well.

I got an idea in my mind. At early stage the particles are stick to the cube, then apply goal node to attract the particles to follow.

Here my question, is it possible i apply a weight-map with gradient level of tone to the cube and use it as the timing for the particles to un-stick them toward the goal?

I had research and read through some forum but i still can't make it work.

Hope some1 can give me some clue how should i setup the node in this situation.
tks alot ^:)^

I suppose there are any number of ways. Here's one simple approach:

Hi guys, its me again. Thanks for all the help and i had slowly pick up how to setup the ice-tree. :ymdaydream:

Regarding to the previous post i had mention, after spending days and days for testing i guess its better for me to get some idea/clue here. ~x(

I had a cube and wanna to apply multiple weight-map to control the area and timing those particles being control by the goal. (with the condition that at the start of the scene all the particles are stick onto the cube)

thanks again for all the tips and help, great day :-*
