Efficient way of HDRI matching

Post by shushens » 30 Aug 2010, 23:17

Hello guys, I am back with another lame question! :P

I downloaded a free HDRI for a fall colour road shot from here:

Code: Select all

http://www.openfootage.net/?p=188#more-188
When I load it up in XSI, the render does not focus on the road, but on some roadside grass. After rotating some, I can see the road, but it is way off.

If I try to add some value to the transformation to get it fixed, the render gets wasted.

(In the above image, I put T of X=0.9)

I am not sure how match the HDRI to a certain desired angle/shot. Is there any quick way to approach this problem without using sphere with constant shader?

Thanks in advance!
