So, updated windows...

and I get Object not supported for ToolsWizard.jsj.

the only thing that does not seem to be working now, is the character biped guide. the Hip Bone shows up as a Circle, and won't let me open it.

I'm getting close to ditching softimage for 2025. Found Nomad sculpt, and it's so intuitive, the only thing it's missing is a pc port.
And I guess I'd have to learn maya for animation.

but until then has anyone come across this error recently?

A few people still visit it seems. The latest windows 11 update causes some javascript errors in XSI, but it can be fixed by telling windows to use the older javascript.

THAT did it. I KNEW it had to be something with the latest windows update.
rather than wait every few days for updates, I just do a fresh reformat once every 5 months once the latest bugs are worked out.
seems they missed one this time.

will keep this for the future.

Also, just an idea. adding programs people have migrated too in their own sub section might increase traffic again. message boards still are the best method for help and seem more personal than the annoying to use reddit, or facebook groups

Nomad sculpt is much better than Zbrush, due to a de cluttered interface, and am almost thinking of using it exclusively for modeling now after only three days. sculpting is like having a permanent COG button on all the time, and makes it more fun.

Ah great. Microsoft announced they'll turn off VBScript in a year or so. When this happens, you can use the other tip in the thread to turnd it back on.

Nomad UI is alright, it's starting to get a bit crowded I think, started with the facegroup stuff.

To answer my own question: we're pretty much doomed...

Phase 3​
VBScript will be retired and eliminated from future versions of Windows. This means all the dynamic link libraries (.dll files) of VBScript will be removed. As a result, projects that rely on VBScript will stop functioning. By then, we expect that you’ll have switched to suggested alternatives.
