Yes, originally the product was called Softimage|XSI (where Softimage was the name of the company)
After Autodesk bought the company Softimage from Avid they eventually changed the product name to Softimage...

So to many of us, the product will always be lovingly called XSI, even if it's actual name has changed...

It also still runs as xsi.exe ;)

I don't think they'll ever be able to get rid of all references to the XSI name after a decade.

But congrats to the folks at Softimage, as the road hasn't been easy sometimes.
Here's to at least 10 more years!!!

Thanks for the video. I went to the launch party in LA at the El Ray theatre. Fun time. Still have my Softimage cocktail shaker!
