Cinema 4D S22

Post by Bullit » 20 Apr 2020, 21:35

More like 21.5 to fix some parts there were increasingly dismal like UV's and viewport speed. How much improv is difficult to say.

Seems there will be another update for the end of the year.

This version is only for subscription, the one at the years end will be also for Perpetual and will include this one.

Their modeling tools are so bad that I would rather work in Maya. But Soft is still king for modelling in my book.

I left Cinema 4D years ago for its ugly modeling workflow. Also, they were very slow to adopt or integrate much-needed features we use for years such as basic UV tools for detecting island overlaps, connectivity or such. I remember sending these newly added UV features as a feature request to Maxon almost 10 years ago and now they added them :D

"see the seam in UV editor using colors... "

These kind of "new features" still shown the lack of a basic thoughts, compare to XSI...(although XSI is out dated)
Similar things also happens in the new famous blender.
