Color Management and LUT

Hi Everyone,

I was reading the Docs after installing 2011, and I noticed the Color Management Profiles...are most of you using the defualt "from gamma values" or "from LUT file?" The whole LUT thing is new to me, so if anyone could explain the usage of it in a more general sense, that would be much appreciated. Thanks

This website looks a little more promising (although it has been written in 2004)
