Good book on the math behind rigging?

Post by Hirazi Blue » 16 May 2010, 19:21

Like the title says: I'm looking for a good book on the math and principles involved in the rigging process. Something software-agnostic would be nice. Any suggestions?

"3D Math Primer for Games and Graphics"
might sound like this is not what you are looking for, but for me, understanding how to manipulate vectors, matrices and quaternions totally changed how i think in terms of rigging.

i'm a bit confused; some comment on this book says that you should know c++ fairly well before to read it....

it's true that to well learn rigging, you have to know c++ ???

not really. the math part is generic. there's a second part where it's put into practice with some c++ but you can skip that.
