maximize --

Post by a5' » 13 May 2010, 10:49

I see in 2011 that they have added the maximize icon to some of the windows including the netview, I had asked about this a while ago -- I'm glad someone listened.

Yeah I've been using those buttons a lot recently, very welcomed addition :)

I still wish they'd bring back the old behavior of double clicking the floating window top bars. Where it'd minimise to wherever you moved the minimised bar, and would maximise to where you left it maximised.

Hm,

Not sure if I could use that, I'd have to get used to it, but the maximize/minimize functionality just seemed obvious.

I have an old laptop running freebsd and blackbox window manager. I like the feature of X windows which rolls up into the title bar-- with the middle mouse wheel. Come to think of it I like alot of things about X windows, like a multitude of menu's on the 3-button mouse.

I think 3DSmax has a similar setup-- from what I remember it was a bit clutered--.

Yeah, the reason that I'm not sure I could use that 'old' behavior you were referring to is that I'm pretty disorganized and I think I actually like having the program decide where to put the windows...
