un-Deletable files?

For some reason, i can't delete a lock file and the scene that goes with it. closing the program down, doing a complete reset shutting the computer down..

nothing lets me delete these two files. any ideaS?

Did you check its attributes with RMB in windows explorer?

What is your permissions with your login?

Sometimes you are able to rename the file, and then delete it in these situations.

Yep, just checked, and everything LOOKS the same as files I CAN delete.


Just out of curiosity..
I tried to delete it from XSI, and i got the message 'THis file can't be deleted because it is open in XSI'.. which is obviously not true. and i can't delete the stupid lock file that was associated with it either.

just tried it, and nope, no go. it's usually never simple

if it's in the Program Files folder, you can't delete it because of UAC

it's on a separate hard drive under an XSIMain custom directory....

Funny thing..
i just tried to delete it in a program called go to my pc and deleted instantly.


go figure.
