Craft Director Studio Tools in SI2011

So finally I was tempted to use one of the shiny new tools brought to us by Craft Animation,
and my first impression was, that there are probably some quite useful tools
hidden in this free plugin, but that the workflow felt rather "clumsy".

I'd really like to know what your impressions are... $:-\$

Hi, I would like to use this in my current project, but after I installed 2011 SP1 (unninstalled 2011) CDS vanished from my menu.... I have tried to install it again from the Softimage install menu but nothing! Please help!!!!!!

I just checked: seems to be an installer-bug...
If you haven't removed your original "Softimage 2011" yet, you could try the following:
Go into the Factory-Install folder of your "Softimage 2011"
Go to the folder "Application\Plugins"
Locate the file "craftdirectorstudiosadaptor_softimage2011.dll"
Copy it to the Factory-Install of your "2011SP1" into it's "Application\Plugins" folder.

I've not really tested this (but I can confirm you can get SI2011SP1 to access
the Craft Director stuff using this simple copy), so use at own risk...

Go into the directory where the SI2011SP1-installer unzipped all the files it needed.
Go to "Support\CraftAnimations" where you'll find the CraftAnimations installer. Now unzip this exe (I used 7-Zip, but I assume any unzipper will do): Now you've got the contents of the installer in its own directory. In this directory: go to folder "$[78]" if you're on 64 bit, where you'll find the "craftdirectorstudiosadaptor_softimage2011.dll".
Follow the instructions in my above post...

BTW - I find sending such a file problematic as I am not sure about potential legal issues...

It seems to be an installer bug at the CraftAnimation level, not at the SI2011SP1 level...
