board styles - your opinions please

As most of you hopefully know, our little community has two options when it comes to board styles, "subsilver2" (the default) and "subsilver_black" (the alternative). Not so much as an official representative of this board, but merely as a Moderator, I would like to know, what you think of both styles and the fact, we use "subsilver2" as our board default (should this be set to "subsilver_black" in your opinion?)

As this still isn't a democracy ,
information gathered in this thread won't necessarily change anything,
but it might give us a better understanding, where we stand on this issue...

i use the subsilver black, i always use dark interfaces, my softimage and after effects are dark too.... think it's less stress for the eye

Funny i did not even notice that there was a second one so i had the default all the time.
I just checked the dark one but i still prefer "subsilver2"

I would have expected a little more feedback though,
as the board styles affect us all.

I personally would do with just one board style and eliminate any choice, as I have found some colors I use to "liven up" my posts look good in "subsilver2", while being unreadable in "subsilver_black" and vice versa... But that might just be my poor eye-sight...

And because of my poor eye-sight "subsilver2" would get my vote to remain, if it ever came to that...

I like the dark one slightly better then again I thnk it might look a bit more geeky/less professional to new visitors.

Having 2 styles for logged in/out I find quite impractical. As having alternating bg-colors for posts. As I find the yellow background of a certain resources page...
To sum it up my vote goes to killing the dark one too

And for having a better text edit box (with margins) *duck* ;;)

Some better text editor is actually not a bad idea...
This involves digging into the online phpbb modifications (which I could do)
and in the end approving and implementing the mod (which I can't do)...

A silly idea concerning the board styles would be to kill both current styles and force everyone to use one new board style instead... ;)

I use "subsilver_black" partly because it reminds me of the boards it replaced (softimage community) and partly because it means I can't read your posts!!
