XSI-MO?

XSI-MO?
no! X-I-S-MO

Image

Looks like Maya, but apparently aims to be more of a Soft-like app in regards to it's main qualities, and can be freely downloaded and tried-out/tested throughout it's development.

(combination of different translations)
Balance of ease of use and functionality

Expensive high-end 3DCG software may be feature-rich, but hard to be approachable and to understand quite well in the multi-function,
while you might find unsatisfactory the function of less capable software.

Xismo, although there are many little points are still in the beginning of development,
aiming to achieve both ease of use and functionality have been designed,
and development plans to continue in the future with similar policy.
Currently it's (QT) interface is all Japenese and it's quite early in development, yet is already well beyond it's
<< Create - primitive - cube >> function :),
and can be a quite interesting thing to follow none the less!

humm, tried the OSX version and it's an old school app without any operator history ala modo, at the diference modo 1.0 was way more intuitive and productive.
IMO we could largely skip that one and focus learning blender / clara.io for modeling ;-)

Perhaps no doubt it's still pretty early,

But for parametrism, perhaps you couldn't make out "工事履歴" from the interface (modifyer stack) but...
Modifier

Say to the xismo modifier function.
It is modify (Edit / transform) of the original polygon data to function.

* The modifier only affects mesh data.

For example create a primitive cubic, polygon model.
And will be curved surface modifier will be child of the cube.

Will use frequently to apply to symmetrical with curved surfaces are like
To come under the symmetry surfaces of the place.

Modifiers are applied in order from the top.
And is an example of this

-Apply the symmetry of the original mesh
-Symmetric mesh for the surfaces of

To quite different results, so swap the order and symmetry of the surface of the.
* This is by design, and designed.
Nevertheless for now I think it's at least worth following to see how it turns-out.
