Nice to see someone from Houdini crowd is willing to deal with final results, instead of somehow typical, endless discussions about this or that sort of coding in H. But, 'mesh fusion', performed with something that definitively looks like default VDB mesher (created by Dreamworks, just like rest of VDB stuff, btw), this sounds really optimistic, imho. Someone will need insane input and output resolution for man-made surfaces, sharp corners and such. There is no selective blending, everything is just melted together. For organic surfaces maybe, should be great for basic purpose like meshing the liquids. But for more, just not competitor to Zbrush remesh, 3d Coat auto retopo, MoI mesher or Modo Mesh Fusion, plain subd modeling at the end of the day - or what else fits to particular habits and needs.
