MR Handbook 3: Licensing woes MR Full Demo

Today my very own copy of "Writing Mental Ray Shaders" arrived. So naturally I tried installing the accompanying Mental Ray "Full Demo". When it came to licensing this software, the licensing manager told me I should contact demokeys@mental.com, as an attempt at direct contact with mental images failed due to the quite obvious fact, that my workstation is permanently offline. As I have a habit of checking new mail addresses before sending "valuable" information, I went to verify-email only to be told, the mail address doesn't exist (anymore)...

The piece of paper with the "proof of purchase" code mentions a webpage that doesn't exist either...

I am officially not happy!!!

edit - The promising mrdemo@mental.com address I found online doesn't work either and the mail address of the author of the book, andy@mental.com, you guessed it, doesn't exist either... And I can't get a refund on this purchase, cause I opened the sealed software inside...
I am looking for a nice way to word my feelings...

You could try at the Mental Images forum. There's already a thread regarding this issue there (I think you might have to register to read it, but it's a useful forum anyway):

Or I guess you could try contacting Mental Images.

Thanks, but that thread is outdated also as the mrdemo@mental.com address doesn't exist (anymore) either. I tried filling in a webform at the current mental images website, but they haven't replied as of yet.

If this was mere shareware, I shouldn't bother, but one assumes...

Small update: I found a totally different contact mail address @ the website of mental images current owners Nvidia - cc@mentalimages.com. As this is a totally different domain name, it sounds promising. I've sent them a mail, requesting the "definitive" mail address to send licensing info to.
