Hello evryone, i always had in mind to make a thread for abstract images, inspired by the softimage loading screens.
In my attempt, i was ispired by:

but something happened in the middle... of my attempt and i kinda went full artistic :P

This one has a preety str8 forward pipeline of work. Can share more info if any1 interested.
I would be very happy if more ppl drop some more abstracts over here :)

Holy cow, how did you get that tree looking so nice? And kudos to using Redshift. Can't wait to update my machines with Nvidia graphics.

The tree is all PS. Its a black and white Photo from Beth Moon.

-I used quite a bit the warp tranformation tool to match the shape, added brances here and there, more warps.
-For midtones color brush, highlights dodge , shaded areas colour burn.
-Used healing brush to add bump details from source(had to flip rotate in some cases) That way i also did the transition and some wooden details on the 3d.
-Blured some brances on the back.
-Made a fake reflection layer with flip horizontal and warp again.
-In some cases is just paint.

Its quite slopy, had to stop before i destroy everything with my mouse :P

Indeed it's very good peice! Loods like a mixture of different mediums blended to the point where we can't even see where the different mediums start & where they end.

It could also look like Softimage coming from the dead :p

Hmm i didn't know were to post this, maybe here, just revisited a scene and did render with RS, added some stuff in PS because i felt like free-styling on this one, its all lit by incandescence :-? Takes lot GI samples and good unifiaed sampling to get rid of noise. I should have added some more samples on frost as well. I might improve this one day. Maybe :P
